Travel Recap [Topic]#
The early summer in the Southern Hemisphere is simply breathtaking.
It was only after coming to New Zealand that I realized life could be so relaxing.
The harmonious coexistence between humans and nature is vividly portrayed here~~
👧Hi, I'm Tanya
🚗Just returned from a self-driving trip in New Zealand
Our total journey lasted 18 days
We spent 12 days in Tekapo, Wanaka, and Queenstown
We immersed ourselves in the locals' slow-paced lifestyle
Basking in the sun by the lake, making friends with the animals on the farm, and watching the pink sunset over the snow-capped mountains…
I've summarized some fun and photogenic spots for you guys over these two weeks.
🦌【Queenstown Deer Park】
The deer king you've been following is right here‼️‼️
How to find the deer👇
✅First, book your tickets online in advance (at least 3 days ahead). On the day of your visit, enter the password at the entrance, and you're in. Only 80 cars are allowed per day.
✅The pasture is at a high elevation, offering a great view of Queenstown. We went there during early summer, and the sunset was after 9:00 PM daily.
🦌🫎🦌Key Points for Deer Watching!!
✅Timing is crucial! Remember the early morning and late evening, as the animals usually come out to feed twice a day, making it more likely to encounter them.
✅Drive along the main road from the entrance, where there's a machine selling animal feed for $2 per bucket. Make sure to bring $2 coins, as they only accept those!
✅Continue driving along the main road until you see a fork. Take the left path to go up, or the right one to go down. We took the right path, and that's where the deer king and his family are! You can drive to find them! When the deer appeared before my eyes, my heart melted with tenderness 🫠
✅You'll also meet some cows and donkeys on this path. They are very greedy, so you won't have trouble finding them.
🌳【Wanaka Hiking】
✅For a lakeside stroll, park your car at the Red Supermarket parking lot. It's close to the lake, and that famous lone tree is here too!
✅I recommend a less-known hiking route
Navigation: A Outlet Track
This trail winds through the woods and along the lake, mostly used by locals walking their dogs and getting some fresh air. You can drive to the trailhead parking area ✌️
🪼【Lake Tekapo】
✅Snowy mountains🏔️, seagulls🕊️, and a lonely bench🌳
To get a photo with the seagulls, bring some bread and cookies. Trust me, you'll get some amazing shots ✌️
👧I'm @Tanya's Little Journey
🎬Filming Time: 2024.12/2-12/20
🔎In the next episode, I'll share a detailed guide on the entire experience of eating, staying, and traveling in New Zealand 👍
