I. Accommodation 🏫
📍Near West Lake, Culture Square, Longxiang Bridge, Fengqi Road, or Wulin Square are all good options. I stayed near West Lake, where you can catch the blue hour in the morning.
II. Transportation
Hangzhou Station: It takes only 10 minutes by taxi 🚗 to reach West Lake.
East Hangzhou Station: Mainly high-speed trains, with a moderate distance from the city center.
South Hangzhou Station: Far from the city center.
✔️In-City Transportation:
✅Subway🚇: For West Lake, you can choose the subway plus bike option; buses and taxis can be quite congested.
✅Bus🚌: Buses cover most attractions but may take longer due to traffic.
✅Hangzhou also has unique water buses that are worth experiencing.
III. Cuisine 🍛🍣
Libai Crab Roe Noodles (West Lake Store)
🥢Recommended Dishes: Crab Roe Noodles, Sticky Sweet Desserts
Located by West Lake, the restaurant is decorated in an ancient style, which I really like. The crab roe noodles are very generous, and the staff will help mix them for you. The Jiangnan desserts are both beautiful and delicious, perfect for photo ops.
📍Tian Shu Lou, Dongbeijiao, Xihu Subdistrict, Gongshu District, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province

📍Go to Quyuan Garden to experience the endless green lotus leaves and the refreshing fragrance of lotus flowers.

📍Climb Leifeng Pagoda to see the ancient tower ruins and enjoy a panoramic view of West Lake.
📍Explore Hefang Street to see Ming and Qing dynasty architecture, with red doors, black eaves, and white walls.

📍Stroll along Xiaohetong Street to experience the charm of a Jiangnan water town.
📍Enjoy the lively atmosphere at Wulin Night Market, where you can eat and shop to your heart's content.
V. Tips to Avoid Pitfalls
1️⃣ Don't drive in scenic areas, especially around West Lake, as it can get extremely congested and parking is difficult.
2️⃣ Wear comfortable shoes, as there are many places to walk. Su Causeway is long, and walking the entire length is not recommended as it can be tiring.
3️⃣ Don't buy tea or silk without doing some research first, to avoid spending money unnecessarily.
4️⃣ Buy local specialties at supermarkets, as they are cheaper than those in scenic areas.
5️⃣ There are few storage points around West Lake, so avoid carrying large luggage while sightseeing.
6️⃣ If you don't want to climb Leifeng Pagoda, you can go to Changqiao Park or Jingci Temple to capture the 'Leifeng Sunset'.
7️⃣ West Lake does not produce pearls, so be cautious when buying from pearl stalls.
